My mom, brother, and I drove down to South Carolina to visit some friends we haven’t seen in years. The mother of the family we came to visit has been my mom’s best friend for something like 17 years, and her youngest daughter and I were like little best buddies when we were infants. Anyway, we’ve been wanting to visit so we packed up and came. (And of course, I brought my laptop. I am a geek after all.)
Speaking of geeky stuff, I think I’m about to hit Geek-Overload. I got a cell phone. Technically it isn’t mine, but it could be if my dad’s company can pay for his own cell phone plan. Then he’ll get another one and I’ll get this one. It’s a cute little samsung phone with a neat flip-cover and a neat steely-blue color to it. MmmMmm. Sadly it doesn’t have any games on it, though. But that’s what my palm pilot is for, so that’s okay. 🙂 If I start spouting Tcl or Sql, slap me.
I’ve got to get some sleep now. I may be going horseback riding tomorrow, woohoo! And it won’t even cost me anything. There’s a nice lady who has four horses. She said she’d come pick me up either tomorrow or the next day and just take me out and I could ride wherever I want. No trails, no cheesey big-city riders who don’t know what they’re doing, no horses you barely have to control cause they already know where they’re going. Just pure, unadulterated riding. I wanted to do that in London when I was there but I decided it was too risky. After one ride I get really really sore in the thighs and rear if I haven’t ridden in a while, and I haven’t ridden in about three years. I’ll be walking like a cowboy until next week, hehe.
Look at that; I said I was going to bed and what do I do? I babble. I’m leaving now, good night!
