Argh, it feels like I’ve been updating the Daily Prophet all day. I was all proud of myself for finishing the update this afternoon, but what did I do? I was scatterbrained and completely forgot I saved a whole other batch of articles somewhere else before I left on my trip to London. I had about ten more articles to add! So, two hours of HTML, editing, and uploading later, I’m finally done updating. I think. I hope. I seriously need a better system for uploading. What I really need is a group of programmers and a buttload of money, but who doesn’t need that? The money part at least, anyway. 🙂

My brother Kevin finally got all the pictures up from when my brother Tim came to visit in May. We went to the playground at the Dulles Town Center Mall, where it’s like a little minature Dulles Airport for kids to play on. No, this play trip wasn’t for Tim, it was for Max. And it was a photo-op. 🙂 Tim and Max played on the fake airport while I took pictures and dang did they turn out cute! Here’s my favorite: click it. But, I’m also pretty partial to this one, since the expression on his face is so perfect. There are also some shots from Tim’s birthday party, and thankfully I was behind the camera the entire time so there are no embarrassing shots of me. So, go check it out, and have a ball! I know I will, since I’ll know no one’s looking at me. 🙂

Oh crap, there’s a picture of me right here on my blog. Well there goes my plan, right down the toilet.

Guess what? I broke another personal record in the Tiffany’s Game today! See, for my next installment in my stupid series of Harry Potter fan fiction, one of the characters owns a yacht. I know almost nothing about yachts, except what I needed for this character’s yacht. I went searching for *ages* last night, just for a simple sketch of a layout of a medium range yacht. Nothing too fancy, but nothing too itty-bitty either. Couldn’t find a thing. Not a single thing.

But, did I give up? No! I returned to my search this morning and found this site: MoranYachts.com They didn’t have any simple layout plans, but they said on their site, “Talk to a Professional – Our Advice is Free” I figured, good, at least they offered. I emailed them saying I was researching a children’s book and needed yacht plans. Not three hours later I got an email from them, complete with photographs, layouts, and information about the Lady Grace Marie, a 107′ private yacht that’s absolutely gorgeous! I’m in love. I asked him about how much it cost and Mr Yacht Man sent me the cutest email!

“The asking price for the Lady Grace Marie is 7.6 million, now hurry up with that writing so you can buy her! :)”

$7.6 million dollars! I win, I win! That’s the biggest record for the Tiffany’s Game that I’ve ever set. Sure, I’ve topped a million before, but that was in collected items, and it just barely crested 1 million. That’s way too exciting.

You know who else plays the Tiffany’s Game? Richard Branson. You know, the uber-billionaire who owns Virgin enterprises (Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Records, etc etc.) Before he became a millionaire (at the age of 23!!!) he and his wife went “Island shopping” to see what they could get out of it. When the interviewer started laughing and said, “Island shopping?” he completely and totally explained the Tiffany’s Game, he just didn’t have a name for it.

So anyway, he and his wife went Island Shopping and they found a really amazing island and he remembered it when he was a billionaire, and now he owns it. Maybe some day I’ll own the Lady Grace Marie yacht, cause dang it, it’s gorgeous.

This leads to other questions and psychological insights. Is the Tiffany’s Game an insight into the future? Or is it just about someone obsessed with fooling other people? Does it mean I’ll be a uber-billionaire? I certainly hope so, but I’m not betting on it. Not based on a silly game I thought I invented, but I really didn’t. At least I was the first to name it.

And that’s the truth. Ptttppphhhh.

Can you tell I’m hyper? This is what a day of updating and email answering does to me. I seriously need some programmers.

And finally, more good news. My writing abilities got compared to Nick Hornby today. 😀 (Thanks, Avi.) Now I really want to go see ‘About a Boy.’ I wasn’t too keen at first, since I’ve never been a big Hugh Grant fan, but now I need to see it. Need to!
