I’m addicted to Portishead. If you have some time to kill – or if you’re lucky enough to have a really fast modem – go download “Strangers” by Portishead. It’s all fun and yummy.

So, a fourth Indiana Jones movie is in the works. True, it has been “in the works” for a long time, but it looks like it’s going to actually happen. I remember last year, when I was into screwing with the Hollywood system, I was all up on the latest news with that movie. There were rumors that they’d include a daughter in the script, which I thought would be interesting. But now there’s a poll on AOL about who should play his son if they write that in. Hmm. Maybe it’s time for another slew of phone calls, cause now I’m curious what’s going on. I might not be able to learn anything, but you never know. If they’re as helpful as Donna Isaacson or Susie Figgis were I might be able to start a Hollywood gossip page. If I cared. 🙂

Isn’t Harrison Ford a bit old to go swinging around with his whip? He’s 59! And that’s this year. They probably won’t start filming until next year at the very earliest, and it’d be late next year. That’d make him 61! (His birthday is in July, so he’d turn 60 next month, 61 next July, do the math [and I’m not creepy, remembering all that. I looked it up.]) He’s kinda old. Oh well, the wonders of make-up, I suppose.

What I think is more exciting is they’re making an Ender’s Game movie. They got Wolfgang Peterson to direct it! I can’t believe they’re doing it live action. (If you don’t know about the books, they’re about kids around the ages of 4 to 13 being absolutely nasty to each other while they’re in ‘Battle School.’ It’ll be nightmare to cast that thing.) I was thinking it’d be a prime candidate for the prime example of just how advanced computer animation could get, making an even bigger impact than Final Fantasy (hopefully bigger at the box office anyway.) Otherwise I’m not sure how they’re going to get kids who can talk the way they do in the books. We shall see.

What got me started on this movie kick anyway? Who knows. Boredom does that to me. 🙂

The other project I mentioned last night is my online portfolio – what I got heatherlawver.com for. For business, college applications, etc. I love the design. I’ve had it floating around for a long time, just never had the webspace for it. Now, thanks to Guan I have 500MB to play around with. (Old story, but it still deserves a thank you.) I thought since I was just sitting around last night I’d do something constructive, so I made the main page and the links page, but that’s as far as I got. Maybe I’ll finish up the rest of it today, but it’s going to be huge.

I think that’s enough babbling for now. If you have a blog, go update it! I’ve been going around to my friends’ blogs and not a single one has been touched in a while. One hasn’t been updated since April!! Needless to say I’m a bit worried about him. Anyway, happy blogging.
