Erm, sorry about last night’s post… hehe. What fun medication can be! (I loath allergy/cold/anti-histamine crap.)

I woke up feeling rather cruddy again, so I toddled downstairs, made myself some soup, and tried to find something to watch on TV. Nothing. So I finished watching ‘Sabrina’, which I got halfway through about a week ago, and then life got in the way. Humphrey Bogart was such an attractive man, but I’m not sure exactly why. He wasn’t particularly handsome. He kind of reminds me of a bloodhound. But he was so suave, and had a great voice. I’ve had a crush on him for ages. Him, Cary Grant, and Gregory Peck. (I can mention those safely since two of them are dead and one of them is very old. I would love to meet Gregory Peck, though. I wonder what he’s like in person.)

After ‘Sabrina’, I watched the end of an episode of Changing Rooms. Oliver Heath is mad. And he says ‘fusion’ too much. Why are designers throwing that word around so much anyway? I was watching the new episodes a few Tuesdays ago and Oliver said that word in the first episode, then that crazy Laura McCree person said it in the second episode. I think they’re both a bit off their rockers, honestly. Occasionally inspiration will strike and something they do will be okay. But their full track record is abominable. Like the bed Oliver made with all those eyescrews in them. What the crap was that? Never, ever tell that man to make a “sensual” room. It turns into a day at the Fetish Fair all crammed into a master suite.

Speaking of Changing Rooms, you know what I think is really funny? If you search for Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and/or Graham Wynne on BBC.co.uk, my blog usually shows up on the first page of results. I think that’s hilarious, especially since I have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with those two men. Although, it would be fun to be one of their apprentices for a while.

During a commercial break from the show they played an ad for their Stanley Kubrick marathon. I just love the music they play on that ad but for the life of me I cannot remember what it is. I swear it’s either Mozart or Beethoven, but I just can’t put my finger on it. It set me onto a classical music craving, though. As I came back upstairs I remembered that I bought a ten CD set for $5 a while ago that was chock full of classical music. Only problem is, I haven’t been able to listen to it all yet because my CD player died. Not letting that set me back, I simply recorded some of them onto my computer as Mp3s, which I can safely do thanks to a recent transplant of a *huge* hard drive from my brother’s computer into mine. Woohoo! It’ll be nothing but Gounod, Bizet, Vivaldi, Grieg and company for me! 🙂 Right now I’m listening to Habanera from Bizet’s Carmen. Thankfully there aren’t any screechy sopranos singing, it’s just the orchestra. I like that music, except for that fact that it always makes me think of those Looney Tunes and Animaniacs cartoons that constantly made fun of that opera. As ridiculous as those were, I’ll admit that’s what started my love for classical music. By the age of 8 I could recognize Carmen and several other operas, thanks to the tutelage of Bugs Bunny and Yacko Warner. Hehe, and of course we can’t forget the Great Wackorotti.

Man that show was insane.

I need to come up with a Halloween costume by 6:30 tonight. Kelsey invited me to a Halloween party at her house and I need to go in costume. I’m thinking the fastest thing I could pull together would be to go as Daria. I thought about it and realized I have all the components; a pleated black skirt, orange shirt, green jacket, and combat boots. Easy! I think I may just do that, although I was kind of hoping to do something funnier. I don’t think I have the time or the energy for that, though.

And then, after the party, I’ll be whisked away to AOL to do some kind of testing for them. I get taken into a room, I look at a screen, I answer questions, and they give me $50. I can handle that. 🙂
