I have a really nasty headache. One of those that clinches onto the back of your head, pinching the neck, and refusing to let go. Not really pounding, not dull, not stabbing; just there. And it hurts. Bad. Real bad. Ugh.
I didn’t get much work done on the script before the headache set in this afternoon. My shoulders got tight again after all the work I’ve been doing to help my Mom out with her various projects. I need to call Nancy (my masseuse) and set up another appointment. It’s really a luxury to get a massage, it’s somewhat expensive, but I really need it or I’ll end up all crooked and that’ll hurt even worse than a headache. It’s my stupid hips. The muscles are out of whack still and now the pain has shot all the way up my back, conquered my shoulders, slaughtered my neck, and is in the process of pillaging my skull. And what really stinks is that I can’t take any medications for it because it’s not that kind of pain.
Happy thoughts, happy thoughts, whoosh whoosh whoosh…
I went grocery shopping this evening and ended up meeting a bunch of people that I know. One big family was there that goes to church at the same place I do, and sure enough, they’re moving to England around the same time I am. They’re really fantastic – 6 kids, with an eighth on the way, and all of them with either stark blonde or bright red hair. Each and every kid has a hilarious personality and sense of humor. Their oldest daughter, Kelsey, is exactly one month older than I am. I’m trying desperately to get her to come to London for Uni with me, since her family will be near there anyway. She’d be loads of fun to have as a room mate, and you all probably know how I normally feel about room mates (I’m deathly afraid of them.) But Kelsey would be loads of fun. She’s easy-going, we like the same kind of TV shows, comedies, whatever. She and I get along really well, so it’d be a grand adventure through school.
Anyway, back where I started. Kelsey’s little sister Jen is really cute. Eight years old and both Kelsey and I think Jen thinks I’m some form of God. She got so excited when she saw me at the store. She jumped up and down, waved like mad, and kept saying, “Heather! Heather! Hi, Heather!” She’s so cute. We cruised the cookies/crackers/snacks aisle together, had debates over crunchy vs. puffy Cheetos, tried to convince our parents to buy junk food, and had a grand time.
Then, a few aisles over, we met up with a family that my brother Kevin knows. They have a little boy about the same age as Max. He was real cute at the store; my Mom was trying to get out of him what he was going to be for Halloween. He was really quiet and first, but we finally found out that he’s real excited about being a dinosaur. Kids are so cute.
I think I’d better go do… something now. I can’t sleep, but I need to do something else because my head still hurts. Wah. 🙂
