I got the film developed today from my trip to New York, and thankfully I’ll have access to my brother’s scanner. Finally I can scan in the pictures from the Sigur Ros concert, you can see what I saw in New York, and all will be well in the world. 🙂 Some of the pictures turned out really well, I think. But it’s still kind of sad that the sky was all gray.
I kicked serious butt bowling tonight! I finally have my own personal style and it works! I even added a little flourish to it today because I realized that if I lunge with the ball it goes straighter more often. So I end up on one leg, the other out behind me in a straight line. It looks almost like I should be ice skating. Once I mastered that I did extremely well! Plus, my new bowling ball – “Bunny” – performed extraordinarily. My scores for the evening: 73, 82, 117!!! That beats all of my best games ever! All in one night! It was awesome, I loved it. I got two strikes, tons of spares. The final frame of the final game was phenomenal. A perfect spare, and then, final shot, and I got an absolutely brilliant strike. Everyone cheered, gave me hi-fives, it was fantastic. Loads of fun. Tonight was very entertaining because we all just got so into it. That makes bowling so much more fun.
Can you tell I’m tired? My blogs get so much shorter when I’m tired. At least, at this degree of tired. If I’m only halfway tired then they get horrendously long and weird, as I’m sure you’ve noticed. But lately I’ve just been exhausted. I should sleep in late tomorrow and see if that helps. These blogs are suffering, dang it! 🙂
I am really addicted to Bach’s first cello suite. I was cruising Kazaa last night, looking for something to keep me occupied while I took a break from retyping my annoying book, and I happened to come across the prelude to the suite. I love cellos, I can’t get enough of them, and this stuff’s perfect. So I went from downloading 80s British Pop Tat to Bach. What a transition. 🙂
I need to go buy bowling shoes. It’s too expensive to rent them every week, I should just spend $15 dollars and buy my own.
Great news! My Dad is going to Korea soon for a business trip so I get to send him with a big long shopping list of things I’d like him to get me, since most stuff over there is really cheap. At the top of my list is a nice digital camera. Not sure exactly what model I want yet, or if I can even afford it, but I’m having a grand time looking.
And speaking of shopping, during another break from typing my book last night, I went through Ikea’s UK catalogue online and did some pretend shopping. I plotted out my dream apartment for when I’m at school, and happily it looks like what I want isn’t that expensive. Believe it or not, I didn’t pick out all of the most expensive items! I behaved myself, I did everything as cheaply as possible. I even went into such detail as which dishes I would buy. I haven’t added it all up yet, but it was certainly fun. Like fake shopping. Whenever I get the urge to go shopping, rather than actually spending money, I end up either downloading new objects for the Sims or going to sites like Ikea and shopping for an imaginary house. It gets rid of the urge whilst not taking away from my college fund. 🙂
On that note, I need money. It’s really hitting me hard. I can’t get a job yet (argh!) and I need it. Sigh.
I think I’ve run out of things to say. I’ll try to keep thinking and see if I can’t come up with something else to add. I feel bad that these have been so short and dull lately. I’ll try to get better, I promise.
