The BBC is hosting a kind of people’s choice award among some of the Childnet award winners. I’m one of the five that have been chosen, and the voting’s already open! I didn’t know it was open yet. I’m actually going to be filmed tomorrow by the BBC and I think it will air on Newsround this Tuesday. So if you’re in England, watch the show! If you’re anywhere else in the world, want to send a vote my way? You can vote once a day from one computer, so bookmark the page! 🙂 You can vote on their website by going here: http://newsvote.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/vote/votes/newsid_2885000/2885603.stm
I’m not sure how long that link will work, so if all else fails, just go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews and look for a link for the Childnet Awards. 🙂
I don’t have much time to chat at the moment, I just wanted to let you all know. Spread the news, ask your friends to vote, it’ll be loads of fun! And, apparently there’s a live webcast of the awards ceremony on Thursday. Go to www.childnetawards.org and look for that. 🙂
[UPDATE: Hello, this is Paul, filling in for Heather. I wrote to the Development Manager of Childnet International, inquiring as to the availability of the live webcast, and he informed me that unfortunately they will not be having it this year. 🙁 The final placings should be posted on the Childnet Awards website by about 11pm UK time (6pm EDT) on Thursday.]
