You know, it’s really rude of Baskin Robbins to air commercials full of yummy looking ice cream past closing time. Cause now I really want some rocky road atop a scoop of mint chocolate chip. Mmmm… fabulousness. Maybe I’ll go get some for breakfast, just cause I can.
I think I spooked the producers of The Heather Show with that blog entry. Just to spite me and prove that those flurries of leaves weren’t just a fluke, they decided to create some bogus ‘cold front’ moving east that created wild winds all over the place. I had to go driving through this mess and – of course – there were dozens of fantastic leaf formations flying around me. As I stopped at a light there was literally a leaf tornado that swirled its way past my car on the righthand side. It was amazing. Kudos to whoever organized that trick, I want to know how you did it.
Not much else is going on around here. I got to sleep in. Had to rescue a bunch of stuff that went flying down the street cause of the winds. We had prepared some boxes of stuff to donate to one of those veterans things and they were supposed to pick it up this morning, so we left it outside. Then they called to let us know they couldn’t pick it up, so I raced outside and saw that most of the stuff had been blowing around the street. Barbie installed her bathtub near the mailbox, and one of the 101 dalmations was taking a trip up the driveway. After running around outside in the bitter cold, I could barely feel my nose and my throat felt weird. So I had to come inside and warm up a bit. I’m still kind of worried about my throat – it’s hard to explain how it feels, it’s just odd.
I heard it snowed in Fredricksburg and Leesburg. I wonder if it’ll snow here any time soon. I’d like that.
I think I might just head to bed now. The Heather Show’s had enough for today.
It snowed in Sterling too for a furious 10 minutes while I was driving to pick up my Emilio’s pizza. Did you know that Emilio bought a snowblower because last winter “keeelled his back”? Now you do… You should go talk to Emilio. He’ll bow and ask God to bless you. And his pizza is the best ever.
I got an email recently from a guy on a mail list I’m on that had a huge branch break from a tree and fall onto his moving car while he was driving around somewhere in your neck of the woods. That’s some crazy stuff! Be careful driving around in that wind.
Hope your throat doesn’t turn out to be anything really nasty. Take care. 🙂
