I haven’t been sleeping too well. Heck, adjust my schedule by an hour or two and you could say I’m downright nocturnal. There’s something about how quiet the world gets that late at night that’s so conducive to getting work done. Last night, however, I got tired of all the writing I’d been doing, so I finished going through all the photos from my recent trip and created the latest San Francisco Gallery. This trip wasn’t so much about sight-seeing as it was about people-seeing, so the gallery is rather lacking when it comes to cable cars, pyramid-shaped office buildings, and oddly named red bridges. But you will see photos of a Japanese garden, my brother, his gorgeous daughter, and my new boyfriend. 🙂 And then there’s me.

Yes. That’s me in that picture, my hair splayed out across that green couch cushion. (If you click on the picture, you can see the bigger version.) My friends often accuse me of never smiling in pictures and hardly ever showing off my curls on camera. But one Sunday afternoon, Ed pulled out his camera and happened to snap this photo. Surprisingly, I’m smiling, my hair’s down, and for a change I actually look like me. I’m incredibly pleased, especially since I’ve also been accused of smiling too much in daily life, and it’s wonderful to finally have a picture to prove it. Click to see bigger picture

In other news, I want to thank everybody for taking the time to comment so thoughtfully on my previous post. I thought you all might like to know that I’ve done a considerable amount of research and have found four different government agencies to register complaints with; the offices of the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), one department within the Federal Aviation Administration, and two separate offices of the Department of Transportation. All of those complaints will be recorded in government files on American Airlines and used as a tally to track continued practices and patterns of discrimination. Interesting, isn’t it? Naturally, I’ll be sending a letter to American Airlines notifying them of my intent to file complaints, because really, they went to a lot of effort to violate so many laws and regulations. I figure I at least ought to go the extra mile and inform them of my intentions to call them on it.

So check out the photos and do please let me know what you think of them. I tried awfully hard on some of them; I actually put in a bit of effort to properly compose them and all that. I’d appreciate some feedback, if you’d be so kind, darlings. Thank you ever so.

Echem, maybe this nocturnal thing isn’t so good after all… 🙂
