If you haven’t heard by now, a CNN anchor was recently caught with her pants down, so to speak, and all on live television! Naturally, thanks to the wonders of technology, it’s spreading like wildfire on YouTube. While President Bush was discussing the anniversary of Katrina and all the important policy issues relating to better emergency prepardness, Kyra Phillips went on a potty break with a friend. Unfortunately, as some ladies are prone to do, they started dishing the dirt on Kyra’s new boyfriend and how much she dislikes her sister-in-law. (Perhaps she should have read my previous blog on gossip…) Right as she finishes this rant, you hear a very loud zip of the pants, and in comes an aid to tell poor Kyra that her mic is still on, and yes, it’s still live.

    All I can say is, this never would have happened in the days of Lynne Russell. We should have seen mistakes like this coming when CNN fired their real journalists in favor of airhead models and soap opera actresses. Note to Time Warner: this is proof that we’re all fed up with the new ditzes behind the desks. Bring back the professionals, then maybe you won’t be repeatedly embarrassed in front of millions – and soon billions – of people as this video becomes an Internet viral classic.
