I’m heading off to the hospital, but before I go, I wanted to thank everyone for their kind comments on my last post. You all have been incredibly sweet, and although I haven’t been able to respond to everyone personally, I wanted to say thank you. You guys rock and I love you for it.
I’ll be taking my laptop to the hospital, but there’s no guarantee that I’ll have internet access, or that I’ll be coherent enough to keep up with emails. So if you have emailed me recently, or if you email me in the coming week(s), I’m sorry but I may not be able to reply right away. These surgeries are pretty complex and sometimes it can take several weeks before the pain has subsided enough for me to do anything coherent like writing a simple email. I hope you’ll excuse any delays that may come up in the land of email – I’ll try my best to respond as soon as I can, I promise. If you don’t get a response within a few weeks, though, send it again and make sure I didn’t lose anything – that’s prone to happen when I’m as doped up as I will hopefully be. It’s nothing personal, it’s just the drugs messing with my head.
Alright, it’s time for me to go to the hospital. My boyfriend, Jay, will be posting a blog later this afternoon once I’m out of surgery to let everyone know how it went and if I’m still alive and all that. Surgery will be about four hours long, though, so it won’t be until much later. And thanks, Jay, for doing this for me – I appreciate it a lot.
Off I go, wish me luck and all that jazz. In the mean time, enjoy this amazingly hilarious video that Ella posted in the comments of my last entry – it’s so good, she deserves a giant Finnish cookie for sharing it with us. Ahh, happy silly Finnish stuff… good happy/scary Finland thoughts before surgery, just what I needed. I love it. 🙂 Thanks again, everybody! See you on the other side.
You and Jay will get a kick out of this video too:

‘Amazingly Hilarious’ is a gross understatement for that video. But song is going to be stuck in my head for the next week. I just got to the random walking charades game by the back up dancers. Woohoo! The poor guy looks a little unsre of the lipsynching, like he always thinks he was one more line to say than he does. Ooh, jumping jacks! And was that a Yugo at the end, a space Yugo?!
