Hey! It’s Christmas!! Can you believe it?! I can’t… I’ve been so busy with other things like going to the doctor and stuff that Christmas totally snuck up on me. I was terrible about shopping for presents, since I haven’t been able to go out much at all. I never even got my Christmas cards out; heck, I never even got to pick any out! I’m so far behind that my Christmas cards may just end up being Valentine cards at this rate.
But I couldn’t let a Christmas go by without keeping up with my tradition of giving all you lovely people a Christmas present. I started this when I was 17 or 18, when I recorded a silly little cover of “Santa Baby.” What started as a silly sleep-deprived experiment in sound mixing because something of a fun holiday tradition. That funny little experiment even ended up being played on the radio! So naturally, I had to add another cover to the Heather Show Embarrassing Bloggy Christmas Gift tradition. 🙂 Naturally, I only realized I’d forgotten to record something until 1am this Christmas Eve, so yet again it’s full of sleep-deprived goofiness.
And so I present my two-verse version of that Irving Berlin classic, White Christmas. You might want to invest in earmuffs, you know, to muffle the sound. Hehe. Also please excuse the poor quality of the recording – I’m only using a cheap computer headset I got for like $15 to talk on Skype. Anyway, enough excuses, on with the show!
The 2007 Heather Show Bloggy Christmas Gift! Huzzah!
Before I go off to bed to dream of sugar plum fairies, I just want to thank you all for another year of friendship, support, laughter, and love. I love you all more than I can say. 🙂 Have a fantastically Merry Christmas, and a spectacularly wonderful New Year. 🙂 I’ll see you in 2008!
Merry Christmas, Heather!
Tell your family how much we loved visiting with them and are thinking of all of you during this wonderful season!
Love,
Auntie M
Lovely to read you again, Heather. Have a wonderful Christmas.
Merry Christmas! Yep, that’s all I had. Probably should have thought of more, but I’m a little jet-lagged and sleep deprived. So, um, Merry Christmas!
So…what talent *don’t* you have?
Auntie M – It was great to see you again! I’ll pass that along. 🙂
Dorothy – I was just thinking about you and Hans today! I hope you’re doing well! Big hugs, and please pass a hug along to Hans too!
Tim – Hehe, Merry Christmas to you too!
Sabbs – Ha! Talent? That’s a talent? I thought it sounded horrid, but I wanted to sleep and didn’t want to miss out on the little bloggy tradition. Hehe. But stupid sleep deprived me, I forgot that I meant to sing a different song. I feel stupid. Oh well, I may record it anyway and put it up with this one. 🙂 Anyway, thanks!
