I just talked to my nephew Max on the phone for a minute. He and his little brother Brian have been calling their Babba (their grandma, my Mom) practically every other night since the moved away a couple months ago. Tonight, when Mom was bringing me a brownie, I asked for the phone real quick so I could say hi to Max. I said Hi, we talked about his halloween costume, then I asked if he was excited about coming to visit for Thanksgiving. Then he said the sweetest, cutest, saddest thing! He said that all the time he’s been living in Georgia, he’d forgotten what my voice sounded like.

Doesn’t that just break your heart?! Kevin, dang you, bring those boys back!!! I miss them!

Well, until they follow up on that order, I’ve started putting pictures of my niece and nephews on my desk. It’s kinda overcrowded, but I don’t care. I have a really sweet picture of Max and Brian, and a couple little pictures of Samantha, one when she was really little, and one more recent one. Now I just have to pick out a cute picture of little Michael and I’ll be all set.

*sigh* I can’t wait for Thanksgiving… I haven’t even gotten to meet Michael yet!! And cute little Sam, we actually have a little girl in the family, I wanna dress her up, play barbies with her, all that fun stuff you get to do with girls.

You know what’s kinda funny, though? My siblings and I, we’re three boys and a girl. It’s worked out the same way with all the kids we’ve produced thus far – three boys and a girl. They aren’t quite in the same order, but still, I think it’s funny how it’s worked out. 🙂
