You have to see these two videos I found last night, they’re hilarious! They’re called “literal videos” – music videos with the song’s lyrics redone to reflect the action in the video. They’re absolutely awesome! While in my own humble opinion this stuff would technically be protected by parody law, somehow I doubt the recording industry would agree with me. But somehow, that just makes it that much more fun, cause hey, it’s naughty! 🙂 So enjoy!

    Isn’t that guy’s impression of Roland Orzabal surprisingly good? Hehe, I loved the “Business in front, party in back” line, that kills me every time. And from the A-ha video, I love the line, “this guy’s gonna get an ass full of pipe wrench!” But when the girl all of a sudden exclaims, “Wheeeeee!” out of nowhere, it cracks me up – that sounds exactly like me when I get behind the wheel of a sportscar, hehe.

    In other news, my main desktop pc died a couple days ago. The motherboard completely fried itself. When Steve & I looked into just replacing that, we realized the motherboard was so old that it was going to be a pain to track one down that would be compatible with my ram, video card, and all that other stuff. I desperately wanted to upgrade so that I’d be prepared for when The Sims 3 comes out next year, so I decided to just chuck all the old stuff and replace it with newer, faster, cooler pieces parts. That meant buying all new stuff: motherboard, video card, memory, processor, heat sync, power supply, and a faster hard drive. With all that upgrading, I now have the fastest and most powerful computer in the house! And that’s saying something, cause Steve builds computers all the time and has been pretty into over-clocking and stuff. The fact that I’ve actually surpassed his computer’s specs, that’s quite an achievement. 🙂 So now I have a buttload of processing power, ram, an amazing kick butt video card, and I also have an unbelievable amount of space. I have two separate 250gb hard drives. Can you believe that?! I have a half a terabyte of space all to myself!

    You wouldn’t believe how fast The Sims 2 loads now! I’m in heaven. 😀

    Since Steve helped me find all that stuff at really nice prices, I decided to splurge and buy myself a really cute case too. Steve’s always had all sorts of super snazzy cases – even really unique ones he built himself – but I’ve never had a nice one before. I couldn’t ever really afford to buy a cool one, so I always got the plain leftovers. Well, no more of that for me! Originally we were going to buy another plain small black one, but while Steve and I were looking at NewEgg, I all of a sudden blurted out, “Do they have pink cases?!” Sure enough, they did!

Here’s the case I got, isn’t is pretttttty? Yes, it’s bright pink, and yes, it lights up. Even the power button lights up!! The pretty flower-like front is a little cabinet cover that you open up to reveal all the drives. It has five nice CD-size drive bays, two floppy-size drive bays, and all sorts of lovely ports on the front too. One of the nicest things, though, is that it has loads and loads of fans built in, which is good. Isn’t it just way too super cute?     As cute as it already is, I really want to customize it a little by getting a vinyl decal made of that cute little blue-haired girl shown below the case there. Her name is Binchotan (bigger photos here), she’s from a darling little Japanese anime show that I’m absolutely in love with. It’s seriously the cutest freaking thing I have ever, ever, ever seen. So naturally, I want to slather that cuteness alllll over my cute new pink computer case. 🙂 The only problem is, I can’t find a high enough resolution image of her to make the decal I want. So the only way for me to get it is to somehow convince my brother to redraw her for me. I’m going to have to come up with one heck of a bribe I guess. 🙂 Or maybe I could convince him to give it to me as a Christmas present or something! Of course, I still need to figure out which little pose I want her in… that’s gonna be a tough decision! So many cute Binchotans to choose from!! 🙂

    I think that’s everything new from me for now. I’m gonna go back to playing the Sims on my lighting fast super cute computer. 🙂 Have a lovely weekend everybody!
