I’m feeling a little better since that last post. I don’t want to talk about physical problems in this post, though, so I’m going to avoid it.
I finished my photo albums for both of my trips to England. It took three albums!! But they’re all organized now, complete with London Log entries. Fun, fun, fun. Basically it’s a print version of the website. Speaking of London Logs, I’m still trying to work on the one for this trip, but my brain has decided to go on vacation without me. It seems no matter how many times I work on the stupid site, right before I finish, I ruin it and have to start all over. I’ve done that six times already! I’m rather mad at the computer right now, so it may take a little while. Hopefully it’ll be up and running within the week. When it’s ready there’ll be a big link on here.
It’s finally hit me today just how much I miss England. I miss the people, too. It’s like there’s a big chunk of me missing now. Stupid atlantic ocean, always getting in the way.
Umm, what else is going on… My nephew Max is scaring me. He’s forming complete sentences and learning how to spell. And he’s two and a half. First time I saw him after getting back from my trip, he walked into the house and said, “W O R K, that spells Work!” And it’s not like he’s coached – my brother and sister-in-law don’t drill him on it, or set out to teach him. He’s just soaking it up. And he’ll do it if you ask him to spell a certain word. He and I spelled things for almost thirty minutes when I babysat him last Thursday. And today, we picked up my brother at a hardware store, where Steve bought a bunch of screws for a computer case. When he got in the car, Max pointed at the bag and said, “That’s a very lot of screws, Uncle Steve! They’re very long.” That kid’s way too much fun.
I’m really tired now and I want to get back to talking to my friend Jordan. Good night.
