Yay! So much good news! Firstly, I actually got a good night’s sleep. I slept so soundly I can’t even remember what I dreamt. I think I like my new sleeping habits – I laid down, put my laptop on my desk right beside my bed, and watched ‘Gentlemen Prefer Blondes’ on DVD. After the movie, I shut off my laptop and went straight to sleep. I just adore that movie. But if there were a remake, would I want to play Dorothy or Lorelai? Hmm, tough call. What stinks is they both have really great solo numbers. Jane Russell (Dorothy) got to sing “Ain’t There Anyone Here for Love” which is absolutely hilarious! All these men (the olympic team) are doing this ridiculous dance and she’s walking about, it’s too funny to explain. But Marilyn Monroe (Lorelai) gets to sing “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend”, and we all know how I feel about diamonds. 🙂 Bah, imaginary decisions, decisions.
And now for the really fun news. 😀 I have this friend named Sam. If you’ve been reading the blog for a while you might know who he is. I was introduced to him through another friend and he’s taught me some martial arts, tutored me in math for a while, and he buys me nice presents. 🙂 (For Christmas he got me a really expensive Spanish dagger. Strange, but a really cool gift. [Nothing says ‘I love you’ like weaponry.]) So, anyway, Sam’s Chinese and he’s going to China this Friday for almost a month. I was talking to him online yesterday afternoon and guess what? He’s going to bring me silk and maybe even a dress from China! I’m *so* excited! I might finally get my kick-butt red dress! He’s seen the dress so I trust his judgement, although, his eyes may be a bit funky – he thought that was me in that picture. Haha, I wish I had Uma Thurman’s shape! Like that would ever happen.
So, anyway, I gave him a spending limit so I can pay him back, but I’m not sure he’ll stick to it. He’s like that. And I still have no clue what to get for him cause he’s gotten me all these cool presents and he won’t tell me anything that he wants. Any thoughts, anybody? Calling all men, I need help. What should I get him?
I’m so excited. I got to sleep, and now I’m getting Chinese silk. He won’t be back for another month, so I’ll have to wait a while. But oooooo, this is the next best thing to actually going to China.
And speaking of the kick-butt red dress, one of my friends actually used the phrase ‘kick-butt red’ in a sentence to describe a red color the other day. How great is that? I’m influencing the use of language. Mwahahaha! And I’ve also noticed a ton of my online friends have adopted one of my habits – whenever someone says ‘brb’, then comes back, I almost always say ‘yay!’ It started because I couldn’t think of anything else to say, and I was always happy when they came back, so ‘yay!’ seemed fitting. At first they all thought it was silly, but now they’re using it too. Mwahaha yet again! What shall I add to the english language next? Oo, more people need to say ‘smarvy’, maybe I’ll work on that.
Gee, can you tell I’m a little hyper?
