I’m sore all over, I don’t feel good, and I’ve gotten nothing done today. I think I’m getting carpal tunnel. Stupid rassafrassin’ laptop. I miss my regular computer, with its ergonomic keyboard, its cute mouse that fits so perfecly in my hand, and its beautiful monitor that’s massively huge. Oh sweet PC, how I miss thee…

Sorry, that would be the Count Chocula talking. 🙂 I loooove that stuff. I had a big bowl of it while watching Star Trek. That’s my new “I’m sick” tradition. Bowl of cereal, Star Trek, and a few breaks to play the Sims. It’s the best way to handle the battle against bacteria, diseases, or any common ailments. Laugh all you want, you uninitiated Pre-Geek, but Star Trek’s good for some things. Like tonight. I was tired of crappy television that was just gorey for no reason. I liked being able to switch to Star Trek and knowing I wouldn’t see anything that would really bother me or get stuck in my head and lead to nasty Kafka dreams (although, when I was little, there was an episode that haunted me for a while… but, of course, now that I’ve seen it again, it was a *really* stupid episode. Haha, and that episode where that guy’s head exploded… hahahahaha.)

Erm, sorry. Again, blaming Count Chocula…

There’s just something nice about worry-less television. That’s why I like ‘Pete & Pete’ and ‘Daria’ so much. It may not be the best writing on television, it might not always make perfect sense, but you know what? Nothing beats it when it comes to just wanted to watch TV and not get depressed, upset, or scared. Like ER last week. My parents wanted to watch it, and I wasn’t feeling too great then either so I just stayed on the couch. Holy crap was that gross! That guy and his arm and the helicopter and the… eeeugh. I saw it coming, but I wasn’t expecting it to be that bad. Mind, normally I’m great with blood and guts. Doesn’t singe me at all. I’ve seen my own hand sliced open and the first thing I thought was, “Wow, cool! So that’s what my knuckle looks like!” It doesn’t bother me, but that’s not what I watch TV for. Pure escapism, yeah! 🙂

(Just a disclaimer; my hand is fine, I was lucky, the cut was in the perfect spot possible so I didn’t sever any important muscles or anything. No hand surgery required, just about 13 or 14 stitches, a few months of recovery, and now you can’t even tell I cut it. It was a freak accident, but kind of gruesome. If you want details, email me and I’ll be more than happy to tell you.)

Anyway, back to where I started. I love Count Chocula. Thankfully it’s getting easier to find, along with its counterparts, Frakenberry and Booberry. Those were staples of my younger days, it’s great to see them coming back. I found Count Chocola and Booberry at Target for only two bucks a box and boy did that make my day! Both of those turn milk such pretty colors and do such wonderful things to my attitude. Which is exactly why I don’t think I should ever drink alcohol – if I get this giddy on cereal, I can’t imagine what kind of a drunk I would be.

I can’t sleep. (Haha, gee, wonder why…) But seriously, my sleep schedule was already out of whack. I couldn’t sleep until 3:30 last night because my wrist hurt so bad and I just wasn’t even tired. Then why the heck am I still typing? I need to relax, dang it…

So off I go. Good night!
