I feel a little better now. I think last night was rather aggravated by the fact that I was really tired, and I broke my rule and watched the news. No more of that, I can’t take it. I get way too involved in it. I can read headlines, I can know basically what’s going on, but now that the news has turned into such a News Magazine industry, I don’t like it. I can’t stand all the dramatizations, the “personal stories”, the hype. It’s just not good. We should go back to just straight Headline News, dang it. They used to be fabulous, I loved watching that. I grew up wanting to be Lynn Russell or Connie Chung (even though I don’t think she was ever on Headline News.) It was straight-forward, to the point, and organized. Now the headlines are jumbled and mixed in with stories about – like my brother said – the world’s largest pumpkin. That’s fine if you have an extra 30 seconds at the end of the half hour, then sure, tell me all about that freakin’ pumpkin. But it doesn’t deserve to oust Dollars and Sense. Chuck Roberts Judas, why hast thou forsaken me?! You’re being replaced by stupid models! Take back your desk, take back your little floating video screens, and regain your title as Talking Head Extraordinaire.

Hehe, sorry. You can probably tell that I’m really tired again. It’s been a long day, full of photography and crafts. Remember those arty portraits I mentioned on Friday? I managed to take 20 of those pictures today! I got so much done, I’m so pleased with myself. I’m so happy with the way they turned out, and the girls were very cooperative. They got into the spirit of things and had fun with it. I’m going to ask a few of the girls’ mothers if I can post their pictures in my portfolio because it turned out just way too cute. I can’t wait to show them to the woman in charge of the event, I think she’ll be really thrilled. And to think I could have gotten those other five done if only those girls had shown up. Oh well, I’ll catch them later in the week.

Um. Not much else to really report on. I spent the entire afternoon either editing the aforementioned photos (I just removed a few bits of acne to make the girls happier), and then I helped my Mom with one of her projects. Had to help fold, stuff, and address about 130 envelopes. My hands are a teensy bit sore now. 🙂

I think I’m going to quit now, since I’m too tired to be more creative. Sorry. I think I’m feeling too betrayed by Ole’ Chuck. Where did we go wrong? ::sniffle:: 🙂
