I love my guestbook. 🙂 More people should sign it, yes they should. It’s a constant source of random inspiration for me. For example, a very nice woman named Lindsay signed my guestbook today and I think she’s given me the very inspiration I needed for the redesign of my blog. I at least have a theme working in my head, and if it comes out right it could be absolutely hilarious. I quote, “I only read a bit about you because somewhere someone said you were quite famous for being in magazines and such…I think his name was Erick. So I read a bit about you and now I am quite interested in finding out about the “real” you. I’m sure I’ll keep up with this blog for a while now.”
A bit of history: I’ve been friends with Erick for nearly two years now, if I remember correctly. He’s great fun, very funny, but we have this running gag going between us. He’s constantly trying to insist that I’m famous, and I constantly remind him I’m not. Now I’m really curious how Lindsay heard about this, but I’m going to have to shuffle that curiosity aside for a minute.
She said that apparently I’m “quite famous.” That brought an instant image to my mind’s eye; a poster for the Kate Hudson movie, ‘Almost Famous.’ What’s that? I hear a spoof coming on… 🙂 Of course, I’ve never seen the movie, but the movie poster is just begging to be mocked. It’s an advertising classic. Now I just need to find some shades like that, take a picture of myself, and edit it a bit. I think it’s really do-able, don’t you? The new title of my blog: “(not) Quite Famous” Or, if I play with it a little, I think I rather like the sound of “Somewhat Famous”. It looks like I’ll need to go sunglass shopping. 😀 Thoughts? Ideas? Please oh please post them!
Hmm, not much else to report. I’m kind of out of ideas. Off I go to search for a bigger image of that poster. Hehehe, I can’t wait to get that done… I can even do the curly hair for goodness sake! 🙂
