Um. Sorry. I kind of forgot to post last night because I was so tired and didn’t feel too good. Stupid stomach. I think it finally decided to shed those pounds I had gained. I got way off schedule. (In case you don’t know, I have an intestinal condition, so every few months on a pretty regular schedule I gain and lose ten to fifteen pounds. Normally I can tell when it’s supposed to happen.) Remember how I said it was supposed to happen about two months ago? It’s finally happening. While that’s good for my pant-size, that’s bad for my general well-being. The stabbing pains are back and it pretty much wiped me out yesterday (Thanksgiving). I’m okay with that, though. I’ve never had that much of a connection to that holiday anyway.

Our plan for an unorthodox Thanksgiving didn’t go so well. Lunch out at our favorite restaurant was great. But for dinner, *someone* (i.e. not me) forgot to make sure that a pizza place in the area would be open. Eight o’clock at night, Thanksgiving 2002, I had to make pizza. That would have been fine, I even suggested it a few days ago. Except I felt like crap. All the same, I pulled together a fabulous pizza sauce, Mom put the dough in the breadmaker, then I took care of the rest. It turned out pretty well, thanks to Dean & Deluca and their fabulous cookbook.

I slept in this morning since it took me a while to get to sleep last night. I was able to spend just a little bit of time online then my Dad and I went out the door to drive out to Winchester, Virginia to look at a used car. Pretty far afield, but it was worth it. An absolutely gorgeous 1994 Audi Somethingorother (I just forgot what model – it was a series of numbers. Slightly smaller than the 5000 model, but for the life of me I cannot remember what it was.) It was in such amazing condition. All of the maintenance records were there, right down to the oil changes and where they were done. Much to my surprise, all the maintenance on the car was handled by an Audi/Porsche dealership in Maryland, which is a wonderful sign. Really shows they knew what they were doing. They’re asking $6,500 for it, which I think is great considering it’s an Audi in such great shape, but who knows if Mom will go for it. I think she’s of the opinion that she’ll find another good deal like we got on the Suburban twelve years ago. She finagled about $12,000 off the price because it was one of the last few models on the lot right when they were switching to the new model year. That, and she was kind of nasty to the salesman. I still remember waiting at the dealership, watching Winnie the Pooh over and over and over again until nearly midnight. That’s a once in a lifetime deal, it’s just not going to happen again.

On the way home from the trip to Winchester Dad and I stopped at a bookstore and bought a copy of Richard Branson’s autobiography. I’m not even going to mention the name of it for fear of the types of google searches I’ll get. Only a week or so later and I’ve already gotten hits from someone searching for information about the Sigur Ros concert in Seattle. That just amazes me that Google’s so quick to pick up on what I write. Which gave me an idea… 🙂 I’m starting an experiment. I’m going to try and find a way to work Richard Branson’s name into as many posts as possible in the hope that maybe sometime soon Sir Branson will put his name into Google, seeing what will come up. If my projections are correct, I should be the number one result before Christmas, hehe.

And now I’m off to bed because I’m exhausted. Sorry if this was a bit short, but I need sleep.
