Katharine Hepburn died. I’m thoroughly saddened by this. She was the last remaining person on my list of people I wanted to meet from the “Golden Age” of Hollywood. It’s sad that both she and Gregory Peck passed away so near in time to one another. It’s really very sad indeed.
Can’t really think of what else to say, beyond some stray thoughts. She was a really amazing woman. Some of her movies really had a profound impact on how I view things. Please, go rent ‘The Philadelphia Story’. I wanted to watch that one tonight, as a kind of last goodbye, but sadly I don’t have it. I’m renting it from Netflix, though. It should ship out tomorrow.
*sigh* It’s sad to see her go. I was planning on sending her flowers, but I was too late. Well, at least I know she was pretty old, it was probably her time to go.
On a happier note, go rent ‘I.Q.’ while you’re at it, too. It’s such a cute little movie, has Meg Ryan, Tim Robbins, and Walter Matthau in it. I just finished watching it.
And now I’m dead tired. I’ve been so hyper today that I’ve been bouncing around as much as my back can handle. 🙂 But now I think my body has had enough happy dances and is ready to fall asleep.
