I love random google searches. Especially when I appear in them. Take, for example, my post from November 19th. ‘Tis all about my lovely lunch meeting at Chef Geoff’s. Little did I realize what power would come from a simple entry title… 🙂 Now, go to Google and search for “Chef Geoff’s”.
Guess who’s result number five. It’s me! How does that happen? Why does that happen? I’m not complaining, mind you, but this is rather odd. I appeared before restaurant reviewers, *and* I was above the results for the Washington Post. That’s pretty dang impressive. I think that restaurants, businesses, and more specifically, BMW, should start paying me to review their products on my site. Because *obviously* Google’s picking up on it and people are coming to my site because of those reviews. Don’t you think that’s a good idea? I’d like Minolta to send me a free top-of-the-line digital camera so I can review their product. I’d like free lunch or dinner at, say, The Capital Grille or Chef Geoff’s, so I could shout their praises to the masses. I’d also like BMW to give me another Z4 so I can really flesh out that BMW Blog idea that I had back when they lent me a Z4 for ten days. See, the timing just wasn’t right the last time they gave me the car – I didn’t have my license yet, I couldn’t just take off on my own. This time, though, I could go free-wheeling. I could hop in that beautiful convertible, go on a road trip with my trusty laptop, and publish from the road. Wouldn’t that be good advertising? I bet with that I could easily get into the top five for certain BMW searches through Google, don’t you think so? 🙂
Oh yes, I kept forgetting to say – you’re right, that car does have hips! Lovely thing 🙂 Merry Christmas!
