As you might have noticed by now, there’s a rather large and colorful button on the left side of the screen, featuring a raspberry shopping bag and the words “My Christmas Wishlist.” And as you might have guessed, if you click on that button, it’ll take you to an Amazon Wishlist I’ve recently filled with a variety of silly things that my little heart desires for Christmas.

My brother made me do it, honest. 🙂 Kevin came over recently to help work on a technical update of The Daily Prophet (for which he is a Web God, but we already knew that, didn’t we?), and I don’t exactly remember how it came up, but somehow we got around to him suggesting I put a link to my Amazon wishlist on my blog. So here it is, a cute little button and a silly little link to my ridiculous wishlist.

Just like most of the wishes produced by my imagination, some are perfectly attainable albeit bizarre, while others are quite outlandish and goofy. These wishes include – but are not limited to – a $6 magnet for the famous bathroom; a $60 lavender-filled blanket I’m coveting so much that I’m dreaming about it; a few pretty sparkly things, and of course, a $2,000 Powerbook, because really, what wishlist is complete without ridiculously expensive toys?

It was loads of fun pulling the wishlist together and incredibly helpful – I was having an impossible time organizing my Christmas wishes this year. I had no clue what I wanted, save for a few vague ideas floating around in my head. Well, now I know, so feel free to take a look and laugh at the strange randomness of it all. I’m sure I’ll be adding more things to it over the next few days simply for the fun of it. And hey, if you find yourself with a spare $2,000 floating around in that pocket of yours, now you know a girl who’d love you forever and ever if you bought her a Powerbook. Who could have thought eternal, ever-lasting love and adoration could be purchased so cheaply, all without ever leaving the comfort of your computer? 🙂 Ain’t the Internet grand?
