I’ve just received word from Amazon that my pre-order of The Sims 3 Collector’s Edition shipped this morning!!!
I’m SO excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I’ve been a Sims nerd for years and years, ever since the very first Sims came out. I’ve been dying for The Sims 3 to come out ever since it was announced way back when. Even though it was just a pre-order, the Collector’s Edition was on this past Christmas’ wish list. Of course, at that point it was slated for release in February of this year, just a few days after my birthday. I thought, great, that’ll make my birthday fab! But then they had to go and delay the release! At that point, June 2nd seemed like an eternity away, but now, here it is! Less than 24 hours away!!
In my opinion, the UPS man can’t show up fast enough. If only I could tell my UPS man just how important that package is that he’s carrying, then maybe I could convince him to show up just a wee bit sooner in the day than he usually does. We love our UPS man, he comes to our house far too often, mostly because of all the online ordering my brother does with McMaster-Carr. It really is too bad I don’t have the UPS guy’s cell number, otherwise I wouldn’t hesitate to call and bribe him with cookies or something if he’d show up first thing tomorrow morning with my Sims.
I’ll of course publish updates tomorrow of all the new Sims I’ll be creating and their beautiful houses I’ll be building. I can’t wait! 😀 The Collector’s Edition is going to be freaking awesome. I’ll get a really cute 2gb usb flashdrive shaped like the Sims plumbob, the green crystal thingie that floats above the Sims’ heads. I think that’s what I’m most excited about, besides the game itself. And because I ordered it from Amazon, I’ll also get a $10 gift certificate to spend at the Sims 3 online store! SO exciting!

So I guess now I just have to wait until tomorrow. *sigh* Patience was never really my strong suit, not when it comes to games and stuff that I really, really want. Sitting around in airports, sure, I can handle that sort of patience. But waiting for the UPS man to show up with my new game? Nope. 🙂
I suppose it’s time for me to clear some room on my hard drive and make sure my newly suped up computer is all set and ready for the game to be installed. So excuse me while I get preparations under way. 🙂 More tomorrow!
