I’ve been busy today. Had to pull myself out of bed after very little sleep – I think I got a total of three hours, maybe – so I could go take pictures of that premature baby. As things usually are when you’re dealing with kids, we had a minor crisis. One of the woman’s other children shoved something up his nose shortly before my Mother and I arrived to pick up the mother to take her to visit her new baby. We started to drive the other boy to a different hospital, when suddenly – after lots of screaming – he let out one mighty sneeze and out popped this ridiculously huge orange seed. The kid was happy finally, so we drove back to their neighbor’s house so the little boy could be tended while we went to visit the baby.
The visit went fine, I got about fifteen really good pictures. We stayed for shortly over an hour – the poor mother, in the flurry of trying to deal with her son with the orange up his nose, had forgotten that she wasn’t supposed to lift anything heavy, because of the stitches left-over from the C-section she had. She couldn’t stand the pain much longer, so in broken English she asked us to take her home. But the pain was obviously horrific. We stopped at a 7-eleven to try to call her doctor. As my Mom tried to take care of that, I ran into the store to buy some tylenol and some snacks. At this point it was just past one o’clock in the afternoon – we had left her house that morning around 10:30am.
Ultimately we decided to go back to her house and find her husband, so they could decide what to do since their doctor wasn’t available. We got back home around three o’clock. I only had a few minutes of down-time before I had to run back out to have my eyes examined by the optometrist. I’m happy to report that my eyesight is pristine, but I’m not so happy to report that they had to dilate my eyes in order to figure that out. I hate that.
On the upside, we did get to go out to a very nice steak restaurant for dinner. I needed that. As soon as I got home, though, I crashed. I’ve had a seriously bad headache all evening and I want it to go away. Now it’s just past two in the morning and I really want to sleep, but I can’t. My Mom’s going to try to set up an appointment with cute Doctor Carroll – my neurologist – for tomorrow. Apparently he wanted to see me again if the headaches didn’t go away again. They most certainly have not.
I really need to get well, if that’s at all possible. I have things to do! This is so frustrating. I really wanted to get that IRS form all finished tonight so I could mail it in tomorrow. Oh well. I can only do so much in one day, right?
You know what, I’m going to give in and take a sleeping pill so I can actually get some sleep tonight. I give up, give me drugs. 🙂 And now a pointless quiz I took earlier:

It is not a pointless quiz. It told you, you were like the princess(royalty). Think how comforting that is; it could have said you were most like a wookie.
Leia is a princess…and you might be adopted by a count, so, its not pointless.
Heh, I hadn’t thought of it that way, thanks. The description for Princess Leia was pretty flattering too – “A strong-willed herald of causes against injustice, you passionately strive to right the wrongs around you. Somebody has to save us, kids!” Not bad, eh?
You on the left margin and Leia above have the exact same expression. Coincidence? I think not.
It’s an omen.
