Lunch went ridiculously well today, I was quite pleased. I can’t really talk about what we talked about, but I will tell you I got the smoked mozzerella, prosciutto, and oregano pizza. That was delightful. Then, to finish that off, I got the oh so decadent chocolate tuxedo cake with raspberry coulis. Mmm, that was my favorite part of the whole day. Okay, not quite. Business was more fun than chocolate and raspberries.
Least favorite part of the day: finding out Dean got to go see the Hobbiton set from Lord of the Rings. Oooooooooo. I’m *jealous*!!! And, it looks like one of the partners in the production company’s going to get to go to the big premiere in New Zealand. *sigh*
I had fun getting dressed up to go to lunch. It was a nice feeling, being all vindicated over asking Mom for all those business clothes a few months back. See? I told her I’d use them, and I have! I’ve gotten good use out of them, in fact. They’ve done their job. I wore a lovely black dress, black shoes, and carried my little black purse. I meant to take a picture of the whole outfit, but I changed out of it before I remembered I was going to get a picture for the blog. Whoops. After a whole day in pantyhose – three hours of which was spent sitting in traffic in agony over the stupid pantyhose – I was very eager to get some regular clothes on. So, I just took a picture of my lovely hair and make-up job. I’m so proud of myself, normally I’m not this neat and tidy about it. Wanna see?

For some reason I think my face looks rounder than normal, which is odd because I’ve actually lost weight recently. Maybe it’s just the shadows. Oh well, either way you can see my dramatic lipstick, which was the only really dramatic thing in the whole outfit. I toyed with the idea of wearing a red belt, but I decided that was just a bit too bright for what I was going to be doing. All in all, I’m very pleased with how the outfit turned out.
And, more importantly, the day went extremely well. But now I’m afraid I have to cut this blog short because I have to eat dinner real quick and then head back out to pick up my Grandmother from the airport… all the way in Baltimore. You know, it took me two whole hours to get home from Dean’s place (which is in the same direction as Baltimore), all because the beltway now has a river running through it. Ugh. I’m not looking forward to driving through that again…
Yay!! I’m glad to hear it went well! The picture is gogeous, of course! 🙂
Do you think anyone would notice if i snuck into that guy’s suitcase so I could go to the premiere too? Oh well, One day i’ll be in the business too 🙂 *impatiently awaits*
