I *really* wish I could tell you about what happened today! But, you wouldn’t believe it anyway. Heck, I can’t even believe it yet, it just hasn’t sunk it. My life is really fun, I love the twists and turns it takes. You know what I love most, though? Looking back and seeing how all of those twists have led me to where I am now; they interwove, they paused, they sped up, all coming to today, where even though at times I was confused and couldn’t see the pattern, today of all days I finally see the braid that those twists have created. I love that feeling, seeing that all of it has been worth it.

Ah, what a beautiful day…

I can tell you about one really happy thing from today, though. I went back to Sweetwater as planned and stopped by the bar, and guess who was there? My good friend Dave the Bartender! And guess what else? He remembered me again and got me a root beer as soon as he saw me walk in the door. 🙂 I *love* that! To top it all off, he didn’t even charge me for it! So now I have my free root beer connection. Life is good.

But you know what’s kind of sad? Dave the Bartender has a very small Christmas list and he’s not even sure he’ll get it all. He wants a scarf, some gloves, and a nice stylish hat. Immediately I wanted to give him a fedora, cause ooo, he’d look good in a fedora (he used to be a fireman 😉 ). I even have an extra fedora that doesn’t quite fit me, but on closer inspection I’m not sure it would fit Dave either. I’m very sad. I may take it in to Sweetwater anyway and make him try it on. But what do I do if it doesn’t fit? Then I’d be even sadder. I still think Dave needs a fedora, but he needs a fedora that fits properly, otherwise all the inherent style in the hat will go flying out the window and he’ll just look silly. And we can’t have Dave the Bartender looking silly now can we?

I learned a lot about Dave today, apart from the fact he likes stylish hats (which is a very good sign.) He’s working his way through college, comes from a family in the country that was once poor, but apparently his father has made some money recently so things are okay in that department (well that sounded bad, didn’t it? I meant okay in that department for *Dave*). He seems like a nice bloke, very clean cut, cute, and hey, how could you not love a man who gives out free root beer?

I learned something else today too. People should never, ever get me mad unless they can face the consequences. I don’t scream, I don’t have temper tantrums. No, instead I take over the world. I take that anger and I do something with it. Someone was extremely rude to me this evening, despite my repeated attempts to be kind to her. I came home incredibly frustrated and angry because, well, mean people suck. I had to make myself happy again, so what did I do? Tee hee, that’s what I can’t tell you about. But believe me, it’s ssooo good. It kicks butt. One day I’ll tell you all about it, maybe in January, but I can’t spill it now. Not yet anyway. 🙂

Are you sufficiently on the edge of your seat yet? Good. Are you smiling? You should be, cause life’s great. If it isn’t, I’m sorry, what can I do to fix that for you? Right about now I think I could do anything.
