It’s been amazing to watch my blog logs (hehe, that sounds funny) and realize that so much of my traffic has been coming from people searching on Google for that Mitsubishi Galant commercial I mentioned a week or so ago. I even got an email from a very nice man asking if I had any additional information about other Mitsubishi commercials. Thanks to the CD I got after test driving the car, I sure do. I’ve decided to post them all in one section and gradually add more information. So, here you go, Heather’s Guide to Commercial Music. Hooray!
On a less constructive note, my brother Kevin has been too bogged down at work and thus had to tell me that he won’t be able to program the Daily Prophet expansion. Crap-o-la! That means I’m left without a programmer and I seriously need to get that expansion done. *sigh* Joy. Stupid work. Always gets in the way of saving the world…
just out of darn curiousity, how did you get so connected to google? I mean, is it just chance, or a payed spot, or what?
I like the Mitsu music list. You should include “Dance To The Underground” by Radio 4 which is the Rolling Stones sounding background music for the likable Galant commercial where the dude is singing his shopping list.
You know, it’s kind of sad that these songs aren’t typically played on the radio. Most music in commercials is from independant or otherwise non-mainstream acts, and it’s generally pretty good stuff. If it wasn’t catchy, they wouldn’t use it to sell stuff! I suppose it could be cheaper to license than what’s on the radio, but I kind of doubt that’s the whole reason. Maybe artsy ad people just have good taste in music.
