It is awfully disconcerting to find myself staring at… well, myself, after trying to search for an image of something in particular on Google. There I was, just sitting at my computer, minding my own business, when suddenly – BAM! There I am.

What was I searching for? Simply “Sari.” And there I am, second row, results number 26 and 27! Unfortunately, my photos weren’t really what I was hoping to find – I’m designing a website for a friend of a friend, and I needed a really cool picture of a woman in a sari, or something else easily recognizable as Indian. I am, quite clearly, not Indian. Actually, in those pictures that Google found I’m wearing a sari that was given to me by the friend who directed me to his friend, for whom I’m making the website.

Did that make any sense? No? Didn’t think so.

Anyway. I really should be getting to sleep, but I need to post a question cause I need some help, badly. Remember how I mentioned entry before last that I had gone to a park, seen some deer, et cetera? Well, apparently I was eaten alive that night, because I am now coated in bug bites. I have 10 bites on my left foot, 3 on each of my arms, 4 on my right leg, and the most impressive numbers so far – 41 bites on my right foot alone, all beneath the ankle. I even have one on the bottom of my foot! It’s absolutely killing me; you wouldn’t believe the amount of calamine lotion I’ve gone through is just a few days.

Getting all these bites was completely my fault – I didn’t wear bugspray. Now, before you chastise me for that, you should realize that I haven’t been attacked by bugs since I was 12 years old and I got bombarded by a hoard of fleas in South Carolina. That was nasty, I still have scars from it even. But for some reason, ever since then, I never got bit. Until Monday night. And I just can’t take it anymore! Does anyone have any bug-bite-fighting advice? Is there something I can besides just soak myself in calamine lotion to get rid of this obnoxious itching? In my case, I think it goes beyond simply obnoxious – this is downright painful. It feels like my feet are on fire, for goodness sake! Any advice that’s offered will be greatly, *greatly* appreciated. I’ve been using calamine lotion, washing my feet off real well, I washed all the clothes and the shoes I wore that night to make sure I didn’t carry anything with me, but surely there must be something else I can do. Anything at all?

Time for bed for me, I’m shattered. I guess my hunt for Indian pictures will have to wait until morning. ‘Night.
