You might have noticed a bit of a gap in time from my last post until now, a gap comprised of about a week. I can explain; apart from enjoying all the lovely comments that came in after I posted those silly pictures of myself, a friend of mine came to visit this past weekend with his family. I had the opportunity to spend two lovely days with them, showing off the sites of Washington, DC. They were nice enough to include me in their plans, and in exchange I happily played tour guide for them. I had a blast visiting all my favorite sites in the city, and I was even able to go on a tour of the Capitol building for the first time! They had arranged for a private tour through their state Senator’s office beforehand. Let me tell you, Senator Bennett’s aides give a fabulously entertaining tour. It was just the five of us and three other ladies from the state of Utah, being led around the Capitol. It was amazing and oh so very inspiring.

I managed to get plenty of photos, but as I was arranging them all this afternoon, I realized I have neglected to mention that I uploaded my favorite photos from my recent trip to San Francisco! Oh my, what a break from blogging can do to scramble a girl’s brain. 🙂 So without further ado, please check out the lovely gallery from when my friend Ed was kind enough to play tour guide for me in the City by the Bay. And please do check out the darling portraits from the wedding of my best friend, Amber, and her new husband, Chase.

Don’t stray too far, I have two other galleries for you to check out. Day One (Monday) of our adventures in Washington can be seen here, and here’s Day Two (Tuesday). I selected just a few of my favorites, highlighting things I haven’t previously gotten pictures of. For instance, the cherry blossoms were in bloom, there were exotic flowers in the rotunda of the National Gallery, and of course, I’m in love with my camera thanks to its zooming in on the rotunda of the Capitol. Take a look and, by all means, post replies. I’d like to get some feedback on my photography, if you all would be so kind.

Whew, I’d love to give you a more complete, detailed account of all the wonderful things I did and saw this weekend, but I’m exhausted. The photos and short captions thereto will have to suffice for now, for I am happily heading off to bed.
